Multiplayer and account information

The App uses Unity Authentication to create and maintain an anonymous Unity player account. We use the resulting Unity player ID to provide multiplayer services. When you play multiplayer, the App sends your chosen display name and Unity player ID through Unity Relay so that a game session can function. Other participants may see your display name during that session.

The App also sends Unity Lobby information needed to find and manage game sessions, including selected language, a connection-quality indicator, whether a game is marked private, and relay/join-code information. Some lobby fields are configured as public; other fields are restricted to session members.

De-identified gameplay statistics

The App sends de-identified, session-level gameplay statistics to our Wix-hosted endpoint to improve the App. Each record contains a gameplay event, timestamp, sequence, usage-tenure category, feature-access state, platform, App version, environment, and an eight-digit random session tag. The tag groups events during one App session, is regenerated when the App starts, and is not linked in this telemetry payload to a name, email address, Unity player ID, device identifier, advertising identifier, or persistent App identifier. We do not retain Wix request logs.

Purchase information

Purchases are processed by the applicable app store and Unity Purchasing. We do not collect or receive your full payment-card number. We may receive purchase status or entitlement information needed to provide, restore, and protect the purchased App features.

Device, diagnostic, and connection information

The App processes the operating-system family and App version. It uses a device identifier locally as part of protecting locally stored App data; this source-code use does not itself transmit that identifier to Budding Tech. The App does not use Unity Analytics or Unity Cloud Diagnostics to collect data.

The App makes connectivity-check requests to Amazon and YouTube. Those companies may receive customary request information, such as your IP address and technical request data, under their own privacy policies.

How We Use Information

Provide anonymous authentication, multiplayer matchmaking, relay connections, and gameplay features.

Provide, restore, and secure purchased features.

Maintain, troubleshoot, secure, and improve the App through de-identified gameplay statistics.

Respond to privacy requests, enforce our terms, and comply with applicable law.​

 

How We Share Information

We share information only as needed to operate the App or as required by law. The relevant recipients are:

Unity

Authentication, Lobby, Relay, Remote Config, and purchasing support, as enabled. This may include player IDs, multiplayer/session information, technical information, and service data.

Other players

Your chosen display name and information necessary to participate in the same multiplayer session.

Wix

De-identified, session-level gameplay statistics. The telemetry payload does not include a name, email address, Unity player ID, device or advertising identifier, or persistent App identifier. We do not retain Wix request logs.

Apple / Google

App-store purchase processing and entitlement handling under the applicable store's terms and privacy policy.

We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Data we collect from third parties

We may receive your Personal Data from third parties such as companies subscribing to Budding Tech Studios Inc services, partners and other sources. This Personal Data is not collected by us but by a third party and is subject to the relevant third party’s own separate privacy and data collection policies. We do not have any control or input on how your Personal Data is handled by third parties. As always, you have the right to review and rectify this information. If you have any questions you should first contact the relevant third party for further information about your Personal Data. Where that third party is unresponsive to your rights, you may contact the Data Protection Officer at Budding Tech Studios Inc (contact details below).

Our websites and services may contain links to other websites, applications and services maintained by third parties. The information practices of such other services, or of social media networks that host our branded social media pages, are governed by third parties’ privacy statements, which you should review to better understand those third parties’ privacy practices.

 

Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as needed for the purposes above, to meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Local queued gameplay statistics remain on the device until successfully sent or until App data is removed. We retain de-identified Wix gameplay statistics, including backups, for one year. Because those statistics are not linked to an identified individual, they are deleted under that retention schedule rather than through an individual request. We do not retain Wix request logs. Unity service data is retained under the applicable Unity service configuration until deleted under the relevant Unity process.

Your Choices and Privacy Requests

To request access to or correction of personal information, email support@buddingtechstudios.com with the subject line "Lingo Linkup Privacy Request." To request deletion of personal information or your Unity Authentication account, use the subject line "Lingo Linkup Deletion Request." We may request information reasonably needed to verify the request and locate the relevant record. We will respond without undue delay and within the time required by law. We aim to complete verified deletion requests within 30 days; if additional time is permitted and needed, we will notify you of the reason and revised timeframe.

The App does not currently provide an in-App account-deletion control. Until one is available, submit a deletion request by email as described above. Because the App uses anonymous Unity accounts, please submit it before deleting or resetting the App when possible; otherwise, we may not be able to associate it with a particular Unity record. For a verified request we can associate, account deletion is permanent. We will delete or de-identify associated personal information we control, including Unity Authentication information, subject to legal exceptions and backup-retention procedures. The de-identified Wix gameplay statistics described above are not linked to an individual and therefore cannot ordinarily be located through an individual request; they are deleted under the retention schedule.

If we cannot fulfill a request, we will explain the reason and, where applicable, how to appeal the decision.

Children

The App is for a general audience of any age and is not specifically directed to children under 13. If we obtain actual knowledge that we collect personal information from a child under 13 where parental consent is required, we will obtain the required consent or delete the information. Security and International Processing

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. Our service providers may process information in countries other than the country where you live; those transfers are subject to their applicable terms, safeguards, and privacy practices.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes to the App, our services, or applicable law. We will post the revised policy at https://www.buddingtechstudios.com/privacypolicy and update the "Effective updated" date. Where required, we will provide additional notice or obtain consent before a material change takes effect.
